 VividLogic tru2way™ stack benefited from several years of development (since 2003) and inter-op testing at CableLabs. The OCAP software is a comprehensive software solution that includes many modules needed for an Open Cable Host Device 2.0 (OCHD 2.0). The software is designed to support both STB and non STB (HDTV, PC, etc.) architectures. Software hooks are in place for resource sharing needed for iDCR software (interactive Digital Cable Ready specification currently under development) and Blu-ray where native HDTV applications writing in C/C++ (or native code) share resources with downloaded Java applications and run as one system. The software is primarily designed for CE and STB companies that have a need to support any combination of Blu-Ray, OCAP and HDTV applications on a single platform and share resources. VividLogic's comprehensive tru2way software solution includes all the necessary system software for an HDTV or STB for OCHD 2.0 devices that includes the OCAP infrastructure, MCARD, DSG, IEEE 1394/5C, Common Download software, Closed Captioning, PSIP (Cable and ATSC profiles), EAS messages and Parental Controls (V-Chip). VividLogic engineers are familiar with the system APIs of popular Decoder ICs from Broadcom, ATI, Zoran, MediaTek, etc. making porting to these chipsets quicker. VividLogic will assist its customers in CableLabs Testing and Certification and provide Compliance Test Profile (CTP) Reports from both in-house testing and testing at CableLabs. |
